RECOGNITION FROM THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY

On October 15, Montréal became the first city in the world to sign the National Geographic Society’s Geotourism Charter, reinforcing its commitment to becoming a city of culture, innovation and sustainable development.

When the Charter was signed, in an effort to promote Montréal internationally as a sustainable tourist destination, Montréal and National Geographic developed a Geotourism MapGuide for the Island of Montréal. The MapGuide features some of the many historical, natural and cultural attractions that make up Montréal’s heritage as well as local experiences that help make Montréal an authentic geotourism destination.

After surveying the population of Montréal around the same time, Geotourism Montréal and the National Geographic Society chose the Myco Anna boutique on St-Laurent as a prime destination. You won’t want to miss it!
